Branch Manager Guide

Overview

As a Branch Manager, your primary objective is keeping operations running smoothly at your designated office branch. You have authorization to approve new branch staff, audit local workshop times, sign off queue tickets, and view local inventory metrics.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Activating New Branch Staff (Review Queue)

When local Intake Agents or Workshop Engineers register accounts under your branch name, they will remain in a Pending status and cannot log in until you verify them.

  1. Enter your dashboard and navigate to the Employee Access approvals sheet.
  2. Verify that the staff name matches your physical branch employee roster.
  3. Hover on their profile row and select Approve.
  4. Once verified, they instantly gain access to log in and start ticketing returned assets!

2. Monitoring Branch Turnaround times (SLA Dashboard)

Your workspace has specific metrics designed to map local performance:

  • Total Logged / Pending / Active Repaired: Tracks how much machinery is currently sitting in your branch.
  • Average Repair Cycle time: Computes how fast your staff moves solar systems from Intake to Product pickup.
  • Use these insights to reallocate service center work if bottlenecks are discovered!

3. Exporting Reports

If you need to share figures for weekly regional standups:

  1. Navigate to the top status center.
  2. Select Export CSV/Excel.
  3. A formatted spreadsheet downloads containing all filtered returns, repair issues, and cycle durations.

💡 Pro-Tips for Success

  • Review Access Frequently: Audit your active staff lists weekly. Reject or delete users who are no longer associated with your branch.
  • Liaise with Engineers: If an item stays “In Progress” for more than 5 days, encourage the team to check for available replacement motherboards in the logs.
