Workshop Engineer Guide

Overview

As a Service Center Engineer, you maintain the heartbeat of the repair lab. Your mission is diagnosing returned systems, conducting motherboard repairs or swapping components, and logging technical logs to ensure parts inventory remains perfectly audited.


Daily Responsibilities

1. Accessing Your Repair Queue

  1. Log into your dashboard and navigate to Workshop Repair Queue.
  2. Items assigned to your branch will be displayed in Pending or In Repair/In Progress statuses.
  3. Review the customer-reported fault descriptions to prepare your bench tools.

2. Logging Motherboard Repairs

When you open an solar chassis and begin repairs:

  1. Search the target row and click Update Technical Log.
  2. Transition the status selector to In Progress as you perform operations.
  3. Once completed, document the following in the Diagnosis Form:
    • Specific Defect Found: Select from standard fault classifications (e.g., Dead power surge circuit, Blown MOS-FET, Battery terminal oxidation).
    • Consumables Logged: Record all parts used to fix the device (such as 10A fuse, 3.6kva main logic board, or thermal paste).
    • Motherboard Action: Indicate whether a simple repair was executed or if you performed a complete Motherboard Swap.
  4. Save the log. This propagates their repair status directly to the Front Desk agent so they can prepare for customer notification.

3. Viewing Material Audits

You can review the list of repair parts consumed directly to keep your toolkit synced with your branch's warehouse staff.

  • Update Logs Promptly: Avoid waiting until the end of the day or week to log your workspace repairs. Keeping records updated in real-time prevents client pickup delays!
  • Exact Component Details: Be as detailed as possible in the consumables field to help logistics teams re-order essential circuit chips.
